Have the home professionally cleaned

Even if the last family moved out and left the home looking spotless, you want to have a professional cleaning service come out and go over everything. The reason for this is you don't know what the family cleaned with and they may have used nothing but water. Therefore, you want to guarantee everything has been sanitized for the new family moving in to the home.

Go over the plumbing

Before the new family moves in you want to spend some time in the house using as much of the plumbing as possible. Flush every toilet and make sure they flush properly without constantly running. Turn on all the faucets in the house and let them run for a while. Not only do you want to make sure each faucet is working, but you also want to check that there aren't any clogs in the sinks or showers. Go over the electric

Change all locks
